vinyl only dudes?

Are there any Fred Flintstone **** out there who still refuse to evolve and use sources other than vinyl?

How do you get new records with stores dying quickly and with all the trash records in charity shops. Is sampling vinyl only even realistic now?

2 days ago i had a gift:
10 records for free: blues, rock, folk and a living stereo record with some dope sound fx (bob and ray throw a stereo spectacular)

today i fond this gem:
Malcolm X spoken word record "Malcolm X - his wits and wisdom" douglas corporation recording (don't know the year of release) in a shop, and also "El loco" by ZZ Top, 1981 (in another shop)
in my town there's a few used record shops and thrift shops that got some dope stuff for cheap prices...

and tonight a friend gave me 10 punk hc LPs and 20 punk hc 7" for 20 €, all new stuff from an indipendent label (!!!!!!) from a crate full of mad stuff
this is crazy!!! i got to shot some pics of the covers and inserts with all that dope graphics...

i'm very lucky because i've got many friends that give me records they don't listen to, cause they no longer got a turntable or something...
they know i'm a voracious listener and scratcher
this is a lucky diggin' month!

i don't dig on the internet, i prefer to go digging in the shops...

theres nothing better to sample than vinyl. as for stores that carry them, yes many record shops are dying off, but the really good ones are still thriving and not all thrift shop records are "trash". the internet does make diggin easier, but i still prefer to get my fingers dusty diggin in shops. trust me, it will always be realistic fam

I am not against sampling anything but I prefer vinyl. Most of the time I find samples sitting around spinning records. And just because vinyl stores as we know it may getting fewer doesnt mean the records are going away with them. You just have to be dedicated to finding them. Started buying in 1992 and have no plans to stop just cuz some record store closed. And I dont mind people moving over to digital, holler at me to get rid of your vinyl!!

I use eBay all the time to buy records. setup an account just to buy records and you should be good.
thats how i've gotten like 80% of my vinyl. the Goodwill store here doesnt sell anything besides Christian and country, so eBays my only choice now..

When the record price is high I buy the cd.
Vinyl for versatility.

I'll always be diggin' records, its the vinyl frontier. There is just tons of stuff that hasn't made it to digital form yet (unless your archiving your collection).

I dig for any record as long its old and before I was born, but I got a few 80's records that got sounds you won't believe so don't sleep on those.

Record shops are dead where I live but the Hobby Convention comes twice a year here so I get what I can in a savage manner. If you got a record in your stack that I want and you're not looking, I'll snatch it.
My best day was when my neighbors had a big fight and the guy's wifey threw out his entire collection on the sidewalk. there was about 300 records of 50's and 60's instrumentals, jazz, and soundtracks. I snatched that too.

I have sampled from a wav file sometimes, when there was something like a beat battle with some dudes. Maybe one or two times...

It just doesn't feel the same. Vinyl has soul. It inspires me. I got about 1'000 records and keep adding more.

In other words, yes, please give me vinyl... all day!
