Just had a bit of a hectic nite with my gear - one of those times when nothing seems to work properly...

Recently installed scsi board and till now it's been sweet. But things started going a bit wierd... started with sluggish operation - moving from track to track, seq. to seq and stuff. basically the cursor takes a while to register movement. And it wasn't a heavy sequence either - just a few tracks.

Then I lost all sounds! The midi side of things seemed to be OK, but the 60 just seemed to disappear. Checked that the sounds where still loaded, and they were...!?!

Had a few software problems this eve too (logic, recycle). maybe I'm just knackered... but thought I'd ask if anyone else had expereinced strange happenings after installing scsi... and if anyone's got any possible solutions :( should probably sleep on it and go back with a fresh head.

sometimes the 60 will receive program changes from external devices. You can turn off pgm change receive in the midi filter menu at the top.

Other than that, I would shut it off, open her up and make sure all ribbon connectors are snug in the scsi part and elsewhere, sometimes they get loose when opening it. If all that fails it might be the power supply, if itr's a bit worn the added power needed by the scsi might make it act slow. Resoldering the pins on the power distribution board from the transformer might help, otherwise it's tech time.

good looking el! Have been re wiring studio and got into a bit of a mess that night. Found last night that I was sending extraneous midi info all over the place :!: ´Got most of it solved, but will be using midi filter to help.

re. the sluggish performance - I'm hoping that it was because there was too much midi going on, but if not I will check your advice and hopefully it doesnt have to go in for a service.

If you had Sysex unfiltered, then yeah, that was your problem.
