did mpcstuff buy out scsiforsamplers? cuz you type in scsifsamplers and mpcstuff shows up?

Not as far as I know.
The man himself said it was just a gesture to still get people the relevant information.
It might make more sense to put up a basic splash page explaining what is happening though.
Something like that might work.
