Although many of us have lost hope, Roger On his website stated hes still working on LinnDrum 2:

"You may have heard of the LinnDrum II project-- a drum machine collaboration between me (Roger) and Dave Smith. During development, we learned that Dave's customers and mine wanted somewhat different products, so we figured it's better to start over and make two drum machines-- LinnDrum II, focused on my customers and sold through Roger Linn Design, plus a second drum machine focused on Dave's customers and sold through his company.

While both products share many fundamental concepts and features, each has its own unique personality and strengths. Both products are still in development and there's plenty of work remaining to do. I'd prefer to still keep LinnDrum II under wraps for now, "

Roger seem to be a cool dude, he has the respect of the market for what he's been through and achieved.

Look what happens when hurry come-ups attempt to tap in on his market during his hiatus with Dave Smith.

The Beat Thang.

Stick to what you know lads, you know it makes sense.

its 2g's. I wouldn't get it. I can't mess with dave's instruments at all because of his screens. I hated working on my tetra and i sold it.

somebody should have told them to make it bigger, they're going up against flat screens and ipads lol.

shit is a toy 2g for a box of 808 sounds? ahahah

this will appeal to nostalgic types with museum like studios or peeps that like to have new gear but the concept of this box is not at all progressive.

it will sell on the name and peeps with fanboy it but there is nothing here new or interesting as far as combined feature sets

but lets see how linn drumm 2 turns out
