how're the bugs?

hey guys. so i'm trying to decide between the 500 and 1000. i'm not looking for spec run downs, i've already done my homework there. i realize that the used prices for a 1000 or not much more than a 500 but a $100 saved is a $100 earned for me right now.

also, i'm coming from the 404. i love that machine. but one thing that really breaks the deal is that you can't pan per sample. there are work arounds but it's a workflow killer. so all i need is a basic/fast workflow with better mix facilities.

here's the thing, the 500 sounds like it would suit me fine. what scares me is that i just had a look at the bug thread for the 500 and it doesn't sound promising. how are the bugs on the 1000? if bugs aren't such an issue with the 1000 then i might pony up the extra cash.

Never heard of any, used to have a 1000, never had a problem Don't look for what's not there!

No bugs but.................. Check those pads out first sun! I'm pretty sure you know this buy know all red & blue 1000 have the bad pads unless it was upgraded, some black one's have them also, i think if the back panel is silver they are the bad ones, if it is all black then the good ones, maybe somebody else can elaborate on this

nah no major bugs...Akai and JJ are constantly updating the software

1000 def worth it and then save up for the JJOS2XL and get the Beat Making on the MPC 1000 so you can be a master at your machine. Trust me you will be happy you took the time to read it!

I think you mean the Japanes Jenius and JJ are constantly updating the software.
