Loading an oldies song I have on my computer.....?

I am having trouble loading an oldies song I have downloaded into my MPC-1000.

I can see the file in the MPC, however nothing plays and when I click Do It it tells me "Wrong File"...

Can anyone elaborate on why this might be happening? I can preview play other drum samples but when it comes to the song I downloaded and want to edit chop nothing plays.

what format is the file? it needs to be a 44kHz 16bit WAV file.

you can't use WAV files in other formats, or MP3 or anything else
