Does anyone know what the part no.# is for the MPC 60II. Or where can I get one.

I think the inverter is working because I have the backlight. I just don't see the display at all. When I turn it on, a line goes across the screen and the backlight comes on. But, no writing!

Yes, if the backlight is on, then the inverter is working.

Sounds like you may have a power issue. You will have to check voltages at the power supply and also at the LCD with a multimeter. My guess is that you lost 5V on the Power Supply, so the CPU is not getting powered. But you will need to verify by measuring first.

You can download the service manual from this thread:

Many of the links there are dead, look for the post by Lampdog for a working link.

I turn the 60II on. The backlight lights up but the screen gets a line through it and and does a sort of brown out; while the backlight is still on. I can't use the contrast. All of the buttons work and light up when pushed. Count in, play, start & stop works. And I can even heard the metronome through the headphones and main outs during recording. I just don't see any writing on the screen. The screen must be dead?

I just tried reversing the screen connector and it worked. The display is back on. So the screen is not dead and the inverter is ok. I think I still want to change the foil/backlight. Thanks for your help.
