sample speed

I've always used a 1000 but recently got my hands on a 4000. The first problem I've ran into is the speed when I record a sample. when I play the sample once it is recorded it is tuned up and super fast. Is this normal?

Try pad 13 bank c when you try to play it back.

when I hit play to play back what I just sampled in it is super fast. I'm curious if something might be wrong with this unit

have you tried pressing the sample button after recording in then playing it from there once you can see the wave form in the edit tab?
