thanks, would you say your system is sturdy/stable? also do you have the T stand model or the L stand? nice equipment btw, the 60 was my first and still there is nothing like it in terms of workflow. classic

Yeah, its pretty darn stable :D ...I use the T since it the adjustable "middle" mounted brackets...but I am sure the L are sturdy too, depend on which brackets you get. Middle mounted get the T, all front/one sided brackets, get the L.

Pics as promised in my other thread, apologies for the low quality, thats what you get with an original iphone.

A shot of the interior when she was opened up, original floppy cover was loose.

My first was a 2000XL but I had to let it go.

I don't think there are any other models I'd be interested in TBH.

Now Im after a virtual analogue synth, or even a real one.

I want some sliders and knobs (no homo)

What's up -
This is my first post so Hi.
Looks like no one's added to this thread for years. But I'm excited - My 60's getting here next Wednesday. I can't wait. It's this rusty old thing - got it for $475 with maxxed out memory. I've been a 2000 classic and asr 10 user for a while and I'm looking forward to the warm grits!

Got the 60 and I'm loving it. The workflow and limitations will take a little getting used to but it sounds awesome - so warm and punchy. It's so cartoonishly huge! I also got some used 3.10 roms on ebay. Here it is in the studio:

nice, thanks. I've been looking for one for a while and I'm glad I was able to find an affordable one - they're pretty jacked up on ebay. It's awesome though, I'm getting into it. The memory upgrade is a big plus. I like the feel of it too - the angle the pads are at is more comfortable than my 2000 - which is for sale now. I've got the asr 10 for the heavy sample lifting. Here's a quick beat I made on it: http://soundcloud.com/fengland/subway-ride

It's in good hands - I replaced the disk drive last night to with an ancient pc one so my button doesn't fall off and replaced a missing screw under some of the buttons. I'm working on getting scsi for it and I might do a custom paint job since I'd like to get rid of the rust so it doesn't spread. I wonder if the rust is just from sweat or what.

The rust is strange. I have no idea where it's from as I bought it like that. Don't think it's from overuse though cause all the writing on the buttons is still clear (although they may have been replaced).

As you say though with some paint, SCSI and the new floppy drive that 60 is as good as anything. There's something about size, build quality and the intuitiveness of the software that make the 60 and 3000 a joy to create on.

Nice set of MPC's Clint! I am on the hunt for a 4K to add with my 3000LE but I should just put the CF reader in my 3K and call it good. My recording studio equipment is getting pretty crazy and I wanted to cut down the Production equipment and streamline to an Open Labs keyboard and 3000 or 4000 (but the LE isn't going anywhere)
