Hoping you guys can help me out...
Been wanting to use my MPC to control virtual instruments in Reason (so I can use the pads to play ReDrum kits) but no matter what I try my MBox 2 Pro will not receive MIDI data from my MPC1k. I have folllowed the official instructions on Akai's website, and I've checked all my MIDI cables to make sure they're not bad. Double checked all the relevant options in "Peripherals", "Preferences" and other Setup menus in ProTools all to no avail.
My MicroKorg will work flawlessly; as soon as I plug it in the MIDI light on the Box goes green and I can play any virtual instrument (usually I have Reason set up as an instrument track in Pro Tools, with data recording to individual MIDI tracks). The MPC will not even control the Korg as a slave. I have all the sync settings set to the appropriate outs and ins on the MPC . . . what gives??
