I would purchase the MV, not for a VGA monitor connection, though. I think Roland does make some nice equipment. I'm on my third Fantom, had an MC-909, & VP-9000. Plus, Roland does have the best effects. Akai's effects have always sucked. I'd buy a new MV before I ever buy a new MPC. The 4000 was and will be my final MPC.
