i have 'inherited' an imac g5 (the first version, without webcam, 20"), right now, its running panther. i want to run logic 8 on it, so i need tiger or leopard.

which of those would you recommend? id guess tiger to be lighter, and ive read some forums that say early versions of leopard gave problems (cpu overloading and such).. however, i already have a leopard disc lying around here somewhere... im not done reading up about it yet, but i thought id ask anyway

my plan for now: install leopard, see how that goes..

Logic Studio/ Pro 8 was released in September 2007, before the release of Leopard in October the same year.

It could be argued that the development of the program was based upon using Mac OS 10.4 Tiger.

If you begin using OS 10.5 Leopard you may come up against compatibility issues later on if you decide to upgrade Logic to version 9.

Logic Studio 9 requires a Mac with an Intel processor.

But for now, you should be good with either OS.
