audio interface w/ Dig I/O's (instead of using 1/4" I/Os)

hi there,
does anyone here send audio to and from there 2500 via. a USB 2.0 audio interface with the coaxial spdif I/O's (like the Avid Pro Tools Mbox 3 for example) to your DAW instead of using the balanced 1/4" I/O's?

if you do, how easy would you say it is to do to send audio to and from your 2500 and your DAW (i hope to be using Logic pro 9 eventually with it) and also is there a noticeable sound quality different between the two... Thanks!

How easy to config? all depends on your skills and sound card soft but less than first
I use e-mu 1616m and for me it is very easy to config.
I also use roland fantom to send sounds in to mpc via spdif
Sound quality... hard to hear any differences
I use my emu to do all conversions as it has protools hd ad/da converters in.

It's pretty easy. Just need the right interface...
