DJ coffins-

I've been bedroom DJ stylee for like 10 or 11 years now and have never gotten one due to said fact. Lately I've been playing with other people (old band mates) and am starting to see the possiblity of needing to take my TT's to one of their spots...
Any recommendations - or - what NOT to get? I'm seeing a lot of stuff that'd work for my gear around $249-$300...doesn't seem to bad. Thanks as always, everyone.

I think having the separate cases is a lot more convenient but a friend of mine just got an Odyssey coffin like this one (the TT edition) and he swears by it .

Some coffins are very nice, but I will say this...
Those b!tches get HEAVY!!! Especially after having a late night gig and drunk off your ass! Also make sure you have room in your ride to move it because an all in one is very bulky. Personally, I'd get some separates!

Yes. I have a full coffin, and I'll say it is TOO heavy. 55 lbs coffin, + (2x) 22 lbs turntable + 6 lbs of mixer, cables, etc., = over 100 lbs. And sometimes you're going to have to carry that alone, plus your crates, laptop, whatever. It's a drag and it's a pain to get into a car. Definitely recommend getting separate cases.

that also allows you to set the decks up turned through 90 degrees if you're somewhere short on space

I say separate cases is better because of weight, but also easier to store

Get the separate cases. Most booths don't even accommodate coffins anyway. The weight and size makes it to cumbersome.
