:!:
Mpc 2000xl-to sequence and lay down drums
-or
Mpc 1000-same but the portability is catchin my eye, but all those  bugs

Ensoniq ASR-10-to sample melodies and drums, plus da effects i also hear its a great tool for building drum kits
-or-
Boss sp-505-same i hear da effects are nice a chop feature so it nice too

Yamaha MG16-4 mixer

Alesis Ion-for synth sounds and basses and to use as a controller
-or-
Alesis Micron-same but the lacks of knowbs turns me away from it a little bit

Yamaha Motif rack-bread and butta sounds

Motu 828mk2-to record it all into the computer

aight, but what about patchbay, u gonna run out of inputs on such a small desk soon. but for the money, the yamaha, is probaly a good choice.

what monitors are you using, active or passive, if passive what amplifer youre gonna get.

what program you running on computer, and will you be using vst plug ins,
as i see u have not any hardware, compressors or anything.

i would prefer the 2000xl over the 1000. cause it got 8outs.

if you just want bread and butter sounds, the motiff is an expesive route just fro bread and butter sounds. its worth more than tht my friend.

and i ll cop a pre amp, preferbaly tube, to give the sound character.

asr 10 over boss definatley

ion is cool havent used it though, but it got some good reports.
