Blue screen from the MPC2500 SE is BURNING my eyes!

hey guys,

i really can´t stand the blue screen from my 2500 se. the text is white, instead of black on the other screens. this is burning my eyes.
it´s similar to those black screens. it may look dope on pics, but in practice it feels terrible, imho.
i want my green screen from the 1000 back

how are the screens from mpc stuff? i think it would look dope with a white screen.

I put the white screen from MPC.stuff into my 2500, and it looks very nice. It comes with the ribbon attached so it makes installation very easy. If you are interested I have the original 2500 green screen available.

same thing happens to be.... the screen fatigues your eyes after about 20 mins of chopping samples

Cicatrix, did you have the same problem of burning eyes with the blue screen? if so, how big was the difference with the white sceen?

are you from europe? if so, i would be interested in your old green screen.

My friend cut up a piece of Apollo Gel and taped it on top of the LCD screen on his 2500.
You can get it on eBay for like $6. Easy fix and kinda looks cool. You can choose different color.

ur talking about when you spin the data wheel and it lags spinning through the words, right?? i noticed that too on my 1000 when i added the blue screen.

yeah exactly. this shit is terrible. akai is advertising it as a "new high contrast display" WTF?

i know it's bollox ain' it, i'm thinking its just to do with white text on a blue background rather than a lag issue... (as he text should be darker than the background) but i don't know alot about it so i could be wrong...

i dunno what those apollo gel's would do to the SE version... Aktopus, did your friend put it on an regular 2500 or the SE?

yeah man i trust you...you work on it far more than me..
hopefully the green screen changes all that, although the screen change looks rather tricky from that video...

Ive got a 1000 and everyday think about copping a 2500 just bcuz of the tilt screen..... but anyway.... How effective is this appollo gel? Could it be something i could use to spice up my dull green lcd?
