I customized my Akai MPK49.

Hey guys, ive lurked this board a lot and you guys got some really great stuff here, but i finally registered, and I wanted to show you guys my MPK49. I replaced the pads and upgraded them with corx from mpcstuff (pads are REALLY responsive now!), and then i got the skin from styleflip that i designed myself (not a lot of design obviously, but i like it lol)

mario jumping to hit the "gold boxes"




maybe ill put some question marks on the boxes lol, but that maybe on dat dere phaggy time

red pads would have been a bit more on point IMO.

but thats actually pretty dope.

Looks good. I would've chose the red pads too for that design. But it's still cool to see a custom MPK49. Welcome to the forums!

I like the design, only thing im worried about is how long your keys are going to last

what do you mean?

he means the MPK series have a reputation of the keys breaking easily... just do a quick search and you're bound to find a couple pics of broken keys sticking further up than the rest of the keyboard...

i kinda dig the super mario theme though... the yellow pads make it look like mario's jumping to grab some coins...
