Godammit.

I would have totally bought that had I not just spent the ends to get what I got.

Ah well. 1 GB cards and non hotswap is not that big a deal. It's not like I'm on the road with it or anything.

What?

Why?

I mean if you know a way for people to get these for cheaper, why wouldn't you post it? Post the model # or a link to the place of purchase. Why laugh at people for spending money on something they want?

He sold 5 of them. If anyone here bought one, be a nice person and list it on the card reader thread w/ model # etc... That way people DON'T have to pay insane amounts of money.

Or, one could just laugh up their sleeve at other people in their supposed "community" like a snarky dick.

why not actually read some of the threads around the forum before talking sh!t... or use the search function. I have stated in several threads what card reader I purchased for my XL... it came to a grand total of about $1.50 including shipping. Downside was it didn't come with a bracket or a case to hold it so you would have to come up with something... either way I think $98.50 cheaper is worth it.

there have been countless solutions posted throughout the threads on here suggesting card readers for much cheaper then 100 bucks.

Well, every one wants hot-swappable CF reader for XL. (I want it, but I can't afford it.) At least it is sold under 100 bucks.

didnt mean to stir the pot guys, just trying to help others out in case they might be looking - I would agree if you were able to get a reader in your machine for $1.50 that would be good to add to the sticky along with your thoughts on how you mounted etc. If I get time later (got alot going on this morning) I'll try to find your thread on it and add it - or feel free to add it - I think it would be good to have it as part of the sticky

well come on, how hard is it to check ebay for "ide cf adapter" which is what you are looking for right?

then sort the list to price + shipping lowest first.

you will see that they start around $1.35 including shipping....

making the bracket has been covered so many times I wont even bother reposting it in a sticky thread.... look around the forum for stuff mentioning hollowing out an old broken floppy drive.
