No it is a song that I converted into a sequence and now I need to record it so that I can upload it onto my computer
But it only records for 16 seconds?
Almost sounds like you are saying you built a bunch of sequences, a song file, then converted the song to a new sequence, but you go into record mode and it only lets you record 16 seconds of your beat because you don't have enough memory. (PAGE 8 OF THE **** MANUAL) The 500 comes stock with 16MB= 136 seconds of MONO SAMPLE TIME!!!!!!!! Do the goddamn math thats alot less than 4 minutes TOTAL sample time.
If your original samples take up too much of the memory already, you will have to find a way to make the samples take up less memory. Refer to the tips.
You might be better off just recording the beat directly to computer software of some type.
To see the free record time, go to (PAGE 65 OF THE **** MANUAL)!!!!!!!
Mine says: FREE=12m02s because it is set to record in stereo. If it was set to MONO, it will say: FREE=24m04s.. I have the memory upgrade.
Without the memory upgrade, you will have to ALWAYS be conscious of the available sample time. BUT STILL WILL NOT BE ABLE TO RECORD A 4 MINUTE SAMPLE EVEN IN MONO!!!!!!
More than likely the dudes on YouTube have the upgrade, or they would be taking steps to save on sample time too.
RTFM!
