4000 Wont Format

I purchased a MPC 4000 the other day and Im trying to wipe the hard drive clean and start over new, but when I try to format the hard drive I try to press the do it button and nothing happens

Another thing thats wrong with the MPC is that when I try to save the sequence data such as how the MPC is set up it wont save that either, is there someway I can hard reset the MPC? Also, is there any way that I can Format the MPC without having to uninstall the Hard Drive and try to format it with the computer?

IS there some type of lock on the software that wont allow you to make changes such as resetting or formatting the MPC?

From what I gather, the mpc takes a long time to format and the bigger the drive the longer the wait! Read through my earlier posts on this topic. You may well have to take the hdd out, if you do this you can upgrade it (if it needs to upgraded) to a bigger disc size etc.

The swissknife program will allow formatting in fat32 (only format the 4k recognises) upto 1 tb. The mpc will recognise all partitions as individual discs.
