JJ OS Bug Reports (ARCHIVE)

noticed this on the beta but just had chance to properly test it and send it:

CC of pitch ,filter,resonance and mod is reset when sequence loops.

1.Turn loop on F1 ( e.g. bars = 4)
2.record some notes and turn off record
3.Press play and send cc 74 to track > filter changes
4. filter stays same until next cc is received. : no bug
5. when seq loops back to bar 1 the filter is reset although no CC is recieved: BUG

notes:the same bug exists for pitchbend,lfo mod,resonance & filter (CC's = 144,1,71 & 74)
on os1.47 filter is not reset upon loop

running JJOSXL 2.09 on a MPC2500SE, i get the following screen when i enter program mode and hit F3 to select the filter page:



as you can see, there is no second filter!
if i hit mode+pad7 (for entering program mode) again, the second filter appears:



can anybody confirm this??

Not a bug. Just press F3 (FILTER) button:

Found a graphic bug in main screen.
I guess it was the shortcut to go to the extra mode no?

note off bug:

go to MAIN SCREEN
hit and hold a PAD BANK button
hit a pad
release the PAD BANK BUTTON
bug: note OFF does not occur.

i think thats part of a feature your describing, if the sample is set to loop it will do so until you hit the pad again.

jj introduced it into osxl 1.4x or 1.3x something i think

yeesh! it's gotta be an option to turn off then
here's why
say you chop up your sample into 32 pieces (2 pad banks)
and you play them in numerical order
while switching banks, you run the risk of smearing your duration.
this was happening to me allllll day today. real pain in the ass.
i totally see when this would be a great feature but i think the PAD BANKS are a poor choice for the modifier key.

i had a simliar issue a while ago when the track +/- keys were used as modifiers, and jj changed that.

id prefer this to be in the pgm itself e.g. note on/one shot/toggle

that way you can do with one finger rather than having to use both hands.

Yeah there are still troublesome shortcuts.

If you have one or two footswitches you can set them to change the pad bank so the probability to press the pad bank + a pad at the same time is slightly reduced.

It's pretty cool for live play.

testbed for MPC2500 ver146xl


load a sampleA
assign to pad 1
go trim
press f1 (pgrm)

we can see sampleA only in pad 1, the rest are empty pad.
it´s ok.
but:
if we adjust 16level to sampleA and go to trim [press f1 (pgrm)].
we can see the name sampleA, in all pads, without sound ( except pad1 ).
why?
it´s a bug or not?

're simply curious or perhaps lack of aggressiveness in implementing the works.

just wondering if i should restore my mpc 1000 to factory mode to get rid of jjos. i hade nothing but problem with it. I cant even upload a sample its always insufficiant memmory. an when i turn it on it does messed up things like puts me on track 10. and all the pads are equal volumes and it makes me mad ahah. get at me if you have any suggestions. 1
