SOUNDFORGE TO MPC TIMESTRETCHING QUESTION

i want to take a sample put it in soundforge chop it up as much as i want then timestretch it to the sequenced bpm that i have in my mpc because im just going to throw the wave file(sample) into the mpc editor and then place the samples where i want into my sequence in the mpc but every time i go to timestretch in soundforge and choose the bpm and match the final time with the bpm of the sequence on the mpc it does not work, it goes extra slow, can someone please explain to me in detail how to fix this problem

i don't know much about sound forge....but i think that your problem is that the BPM you set it to is to cover the whole bar so for example if my tempo is 84 and i want a sample to cover half the bar i have to set that double.......if i don't know what i am talking about please excuse me.....BTW how is sound forge I was thinking about buying it...do you have the full version or the studio version?.......whatz so great about it to you?

TO TELL YOU THE TRUTH I THINK IT'S TIGHT BECAUSE ITS EASIER TO FUNCTION AND DO WHAT YOU WANT WITH THE SAMPLE I JUST THINK ITS A LITTLE BIT EASIER ON THE COMPUTER THAN YOU JUST EXPORT IT TO YOUR MPC AND THE MPC EDITOR ALREADY PUTS IT IN WHAT PAD YOU WANT ON AND YOUR READY TO GO. OH I HAVE ANOTHER QUESTION SO IF MY TIME SIGNATURE IS 8/4 AND THE SEQUENCE IN MY MPC IS 88 BPM THEN HOW WOULD I GO ABOUT CHANGING THE SAMPLE JUST DOUBLE IT OR WHAT

i would say it'z all mathmatics....you just changed it to 8 clicks a bar instead of standard 4....it would be harder if you had an odd number like 4/5 or 5/4 but you have 2 evens so it is basically the same idea.....Do you have the full version($299) or studio($89) of sound forge?mpc editor sounds hot......i guess i am too old school lol.....imma get up on game asap though

It could be that your wave file in SF is a lower sample rate than the one the MPC is using, when playing it back the sound will be faster/slower depending on the difference.

Might not be your issue.
