What do you guys normally do when editing a sample?
Eq'ing then compressing? Or compressing then eq'ing? Or maybe a little eq'ing, then a little compressing, then eq'ing, then compressing and so on..!

I normally try to find the sound I like by eq'ing first and then I'll compress afterwards.
Is this a good way of doing it?

EQ as many times as necessary, compress once or maybe twice depending on the desired result.

If you compress and boost the signal to say -1db for example and then add some low end with eq the signal will clip.

At times it´s better 2 compress b4 eq-ing.

If u eq 1st lets say on bass and then eq it after, tha compressor will emphasize tha range u eq-ed (the bottoms) and u end up loosing your tops and mids.

If I have to clean up a samp I usually put dither a high pass filter
and a Low pass or low shelf filter I do all my EQ-Ing before I load
my audio in Reason then when I add the audio I just turn down
the levels and tweek the wetness and decay on the mods then
import the cleaned up samp.

Firstly what software plug in are you using and in what program?

You should use compression to add to the mix or take away so
yeah this would be your last step either you want to boost frequencies
or cut them.
