moving midinotes in ms

Back in the day when i worked with the atari st(cubase) i used to move the kickdrum af few millisecond forward to make it pump better.

How can i do this in the mpc outside the step edit page (because there i have to move them note by note)

If track use shift timing to move forward and back.

If note use the sequence edit change the tc resolution to 1/960 and you can be as fine as you want to be. Just like on your computer but the resolution is finer at 960 ppq now.

P.S. use the move function and change to either track to drum or instrumental. With instrument the move changes to note which you can move vertical as well as horitional.

once you recorded the beat you can go to event edit and shift it forward or back by one tick....

next to the seq edit function you got the edit events. go to the note and hit the move button ( i think it's f3 from memory). there you can shift and move notes by 1 tick forward or backward.

Also in the main menu if you hit go to the timing correct section and hit window, you can either change the quasntize of the track or, shift the note before or after and then choose by how much you want to shif it and then hit do it...

In this case I would use the TC window to move notes.
