New 7 Frustrated

So I know this shit wasn't gonna be like riding a bik, but im hitting road blocks so quickly and it's very discouraging.


I'm trying to sample all sounds from original vinyl. I've got a decent sized collection of breaks a drums. Still, it sounds like any sample I take, it doesn't sound quite the same when playing back from my MPC 2000 classic. Am I being unrealistic in thinking that i can find each drum sound one kick, snare, crash, tom and expect them to immediately sound bangin on the MP? Or am I going to be in need of a soundboard or something?

essentially, if ur doing it right, what you put in the 2k should be what you get out of the 2k. make sure your not overloading your levels
