I found a thread on FP about how to play hip/r and b songs, some guy was giving away the chords and melodies, but when ever i tried they sounded wrong

i took a marker to my casio(its 50$ so why not) and marked down a b c d e f g etc on each key but i think i labeled em wrong

I got "A" on the first key on the left end and also on the end on the last key what is this key soouposed to be.The Casio actually shows which notes im hitting on the screen, but i cant read staffs so i dont know which notes im hittin cause i think i labeled my keys wrong  also somethign funny is my screen froze and the rolleyes emoticones eyes are pointed to each other lol

i coulndnt tell u what the first note on your keyboard is unless i looked at it because it might start different then other 61 keyboards but taking a guess most 61 keys start wit a c(left end) but ill do this fo u so u can read da note when it shows up on da staff

treble clef(the sign that kinda looks like a money sign)

the notes in the spaces on the staff in order going up are
f-a-c-e-(top space g)

the line are in order going up are
e-g-b-d-f

bass cleff(da big looking comma wit two dots)

the spaces in order going up are
a-c-e-g(top space b)

the lines in order going up are
g-b-d-f-a

get a piece of paper draw some staff lines and right the notes down for each clef and see how da notes come togther

oh picking up a theory book wouldnt hurt either

you probably labeled wrong cause the keys start with c

c d e f g a b ... c d e f g a b

shit, the reason i guess i got it wrong was, I was looking for a "middle c", and i put it diretly in the middle of the keyboard exactly on the middle key, and i guess thats where i **** up  good lookin rippa :D

to help you remember the white key before two black keys is C like chopsticks | | and F is before the three black keys for fork | | |

see one looks like chopsticks the other looks like a three pronged fork!

Ahhh memories
