Hi, everybody! This is my first time writing here on mpc-forums.

I have a problem with my "new" mpc 1000 that i bought yesterday. I think it works perfectly, but i got one problem, and its with the pads. When i tap the pads sometimes when i record, they repeat themstelves and f**k up the pattern. And then i will have to do the recording all over again. When i put the "full level" my problems worse, but even without the full level it repeats itself.

Im sorry if i have been vague with my explanation. I am from Sweden, and my english is not my strongest side. But i think and i hope my question came through. And if you cant understand my problem you can send me a message and i will try to send you back as soon as possible.

So, has anybody experienced what im describing with their Mpc 1000? Its probably the most simple solution to solve it, but i have tried almost everything now, i think. :) Maybe its just broke? :?

Im greatful for every answer i get.

Greetings from Sweden. /Fredrik.

In short:

1. check your technique: tap-and-lift
2. check to see if you have the new-style pads. if not, try and find them.
3. if you have new-style pads, fill the gap between the pad sensor board and the rubber pads. I used pieces of a record cover and double sided tape.

Thanks, i will check my technique. I have just started, and yesterday i learned that if i hit the pad it plays the whole pad assignment. I learn more and more everyday now.

Thanks everyone for the help.
