Not that it matters in this case, but is the toslink connection on a mb pro two channel or multi-channel?

I was gonna buy one a long time ago to record some old mixes from my MiniDisc recorder to my PC. But the MD became unreliable, so I never bought the C02.

As far as sound quality from the MPC1000 SPDIF, it's clean and clear going in and out. I've even used Reason as a sound module routed SPDIF IN to the MPC as Audio Tracks on the JJ OS2XL. That was a fun project that turned out as well as I expected. :)
