Certain Record has Slowdowns?

There are belts available for every belt-driven record player.

Today I realized it's not the deck that's the problem. I got this Velvet Underground and one side plays PERFECT-- and The other side has the pitch slowdown, which happens once per rotation.

Anyone seen a record like this or what?

maybe wrong pressing...
which means the hole of the record is not perfectly centered with the grooves and so the revolving is not regular
Boyd Rice (NON) made some records with uncentered extra holes (multi axial rotation) in the 70s

The off axis hole is bugged out!! Definitely not what I'm dealing with tho. Although the record was produced by Andy Warhol,, could be some kind of "artistic" stunt maybe.

i've listened that album 1 million times and it got no slowdowns

i had 80s a reissue but then i've give it as a gift to a friend
in my city the original pressing is really expensive

Definitely a peeling banana, mostly all white. Could be valuable,, I borrowed it from this girl in my loft and she told me she would kill me if I didn't return it.

PS Not sure what's going on, but now this record and the other problematic one play fine,, will report back if I figure out what happened. I gotta cop a real deck at some point.

if it is the peeling banana it must be the original 60s first pressing , so i can see why your friend is worried about it

it could be the slipmats (they are new?) or, again, the record could be warped in the canter near the hole
don't know try to listen to those records with the rubber original technics slipmats to see what happens
