Where are the friggin o.s. updates?

I've been laying a few tracks here and there and selling some beats as well by way of my mpc's and motif. but of course i'm bewildered because i can't wait to see whether or not the next 1k update will be worth all the anticipation. I'm just hoping January doesnt come before a much needed update does. tell me what u think.

the anticipation was only bought on by rumourists (if that aint a word it is now) and one dodgy looking german magazine. I wouldnt expect anything big if I was you.. akai havnt promised anything... im not giving up hope but i dont see a 'big' update coming.. at least any time soon anyway.

I talked to akai, and there is a 1.6 in the works. They have it already, but it wont be bug free for another month. I bet we get it by the time November comes around, hopefully early. Theres alot of little quirky problems they need to fix. I wish they would add some new functions, like track volume for f*ck sake.

it's a good thing i am able to assume my musical agenda in the mean time. i was just tired of all of the hoopla over this fabled update.

when u say you 'talked to akai'.... you rang them and they just spilled the beans? you know an insider? you emailed em?

Ive tried phone and email and both gave replies that didnt give a definite yes or no...

THEY ARE HAVIN ME SHIP MY MPC TO THE MANUFACTUERES FOR REPAIRS DUE TO THE SAMPLE DROPS AND CLICKS WHEN IN LOOP MODE SO IM GUESSING THE OS UPDATE WONT FIX THOSE

I can't see them putting in any new features. They've repeatedly said that the MPC 1000 is an entry-level machine. If you want more features, they advise purchasing a more expensive machine Fixing bugs is not the same thing as adding features to future updates. That's just my take on it.

It's November... hehe... Im with MidnightFlyer i think... although.. ive never seen it written anywhere (officially by akai at least) where they said it was entry level.
