heres the original thread im refering too: http://www.mpc-forums.com/viewtopic.php?t=16803

HERE is my first post!!!!! The 2 track names are: U.K. and Obie!
They where created using the records in the above post. With a little help from my drum library.

OBIE: used Tchaikovsky and peterpan. THe obie is actually just one note chopped, and i used 16 levels to play it out. The gun blast is tail end of orchestra from peterpan.

U.K. Used 2 differant Tchaikovsky.

this song was made from composer TCHAIKOVSKY.
this was sampled fromTCHAIKOVSKY'S 1812 overture. i took a tuba or somthing in that family of instruments and chopped it from 4bars to 8 chopps the i looped one to give me the constant sound in the background, then just played up some other notes, the scratch of his name i got it from an intro to classical music for childen record,
the drums were from my drum library as well. there was some effect's used in there was not sure if we were able to do this or not,

well this is my first battle , and i just tried it to see where i stand in this bussines or just keep to djing.

well here you go listen here:http://www.soundclick.com/bands/6/djedemusic.htm it 's called TCHAIKOVSKY"S beat

So I guess I should throw this one out there before the month ends. To be honest I was hoping more people would join in but... that's cool. Cyrus and Dj ede are here. I'm in. Glad to post up here with you guys. It's just 8 bars of the a 2 bar loop:

http://www.assfat.org/music/tchai.mp3

In case you're interested here is the original sample. Its still in wav format so it might take more than a sec for the the modem people out there.

* I guess you have to download the wav file to your computer unless anyeone knows another way to listen to it.

Let me know what you think.

nice loop man!

it worked with quick time.

I always love orchestral samples.....they give me that gigantic feeling.

good work dj e.d.e.....i can definately feel your dj influence.

Im a producer........not a dj(well i try). Sometimes i wish i was able to cut, and scratch.....add that "mix" feel to my beats like you got. GIves it a more live completed feel. more polished. good job.

yeah....i got this friend who is just phenominal on a set.......juggling, etc. Hes won several DMC contests.....but i just found out that hes got the skills but his friend designs his sets (like picks out what records and samples to incorporate together)

Its funny though but i found it interesting because hes so awesome, but it takes an "ear" to put the right sounds together no matter how good your technical skills are.

peace

Hey Cyrus, dj ede and others,

I enjoyed doing this. I know tons of people didn't enter but if someone wants to do this again, post some records to sample from and compare outcomes, I'd be interested in doing it again. Nice job cyrus and ede. I'd say let's do round 2.
