Serious Hard Drive Issue

I searched for info here about the right hdd then I ordered this sata 160gb notebook hdd online and didn't realize that the MPC uses IDE and this is pretty much impossible for find online for a reasonable price ... is there anything I can do with this hdd and my mpc? an adapter or something? such a waste of money

There are sata to ide adapters (google it) but that will be adding hardware between connections, so I doubt the hdd plus an adapter would fit into the MPC assembly.

I did see some online but I figured the same thing with the space issue ... was hoping someone had the same problem and found a solution...
