Hey guys. I just got a new MPC1000 and I loaded JJOS, and for whatever reason, some of my pads are have a much higher volume than others. For the moment, I'm only using the beats that are included with JJOS.

Most pads have a somewhat consistent volume, but some pads are extremely loud, and one I can barely hear. I've tried to go into MODE --> PROGRAM, and it seems like every beat is already at volume = 100, so I'm not sure why there's such a difference.

Also, I should note that Pad 4 (the quiet one) is only quiet in bank A, in bank B, it plays at full volume.

I'm sure there has to be a simple solution that I'm overlooking for this, so I was hoping you guys could help me out. Thanks.

there are no sounds included with JJOS - those files were probably already there before you installed JJOS

does using the FULL LEVEL button make a difference?

maybe they're just quiet samples. you could try normalising them.
or you could assign the same samples to different pads and see if they're still quiet

i forget where exactally it is, and my mpc is undergoing repairs atm so cant really work it. But there is a velocity setting for individual pads, accesed by hitting 'mode' then something around the top right if i remember correctly.... haha.
