I've done this too many times. Dug out loads of random vinyl at the record store ... you know ... the 50p stuff. And whilst flicking through it, I've found that some artists I've never heard of actually produce decent enjoyable music. Not the stuff you'd jam to in your car ... but you know what I mean.

Tonight I've discovered a fair bit of Barry Manilows stuff. I'm enjoying it. Reminds me of a male version of Stacy Lattisaw. I enjoy her music anyway.

I also found something from an overseas artists from the 60's. Couldn't understand a word of what she was singing, but the music was good. Trying to find the vinyl I had.

What's yours?

I like that younger generation blues track by janis ian - not sure why.. Only other thing by her I could get into was a cover by a german singer, not heard the original. You into her earlier or later stuff?

Scritti Politti... interesting choice :) ... though i can safely say I like stuff that others would consider worse than scritti
