the fm sound is a love or hate thing... I love some of the sounds sometimes but others not so much and it also depends on where it's used. You have to admit though, the genesis is one of the more rugged fm synths.
man, today you can get the everdrive which would make life simpler if you wanted to bounce data to test on the real hardware from your tracker. I know how time consuming it is trying to program on trackers... I never got far at all and I was only attempting 4 voice for the nes.
