Am I ready to make beats? List of my gear, let me know!

I havent sleept for like 32 hours, got my mpc last night :p been reading and reading .. i cant understand how im supposed to build up the beat.

To i put a sound/track or, drumset/track etc etc

You just kind of get on with it aided by the manual and searching this forum, there's not much else we can really say.

I want to just chop my samples on the computer, put them in the mpc, make the beat and export it right back in to the computer (logic) for mixing.

Am i ready or do i need to buy something else?
A friend of mine told me that i need to get RCA to 4 inc adapters or something like that? Any ideas?

So in your OP you said your going to:
sample and chop on the pc
then load chops on to mpc
make a beat
then send it back to the pc......

Why not use a control surface? Maybe Machine?

I don't see the point in buying ANY MPC if your not going to use most of the funtions they can do???

I got to where I'm at way before the internet was even though about...yeah, I'm an O.G.

But as soon as the thought of using a computer along with most of the gear I already had came into play, nobody couldn't tell me I didn't know what was going on.

Books, mags, and articles helped me way before this internet stuff was available. And I love father time for the opportunity it gave me to be where I am now.

So with that said, I hate to see folks cry and ask how to do things because the abundance of info is clearly out there for you to gather and use to your advantage.

The sorry and trifling way of going about it would be how you started out asking the easy questions you put out there for folks to play you on...which ain't a good thing by no means.

Go and do some reading and stop asking for the basics.

Dude, download the pdf.manual from akaipro.com, toss it in Adobe reader and use the search function to find all your answers. I too find myself looking for a needle in the haystack with the printed manual, but the pdf is where its at.

There's a few youtube videos that i found useful to get starrted. After that the manual seemed more understandable and easier to follow. I think youre naturally egar to get creating, which you will do but you just have to be patient and thumb that manual to bits every night.
