so im posting it here - its about my 2kxl

i had a sequence i made last night - drums on tracks 1 thru 3 - samples on tracks 4 & 5

i was fooling around with another sample i had just loaded and i chopped the sample into 16 zones.......once i did it tho my sequence wouldnt play - the zones replaced the sounds i had assigned to the pads

is there a way to turn that off or reverse what i had done or would i just have to reassign all my sounds to the pads?

when you chopped it it might have created a pgm for it. maybe the program changed?

Go to "Program" and re-assign your samples to the pads. Might work...

imma try that again tonight.......

but does that always happen or did i do something wrong?

i was just experimenting so i wanted to play around with the 16 zones thing but it wiped out my sequence somehow.........i guess cuz it reassigned those chops to the pads

When you made a new program with the chops, that program replaced the others on DRUM 1 etc. Just reassign the different programs to Drum 1, Drum 2, etc., and it should be fine.

Bit of a hi-jack but how do you lay drums, samples, etc on different tracks?! I'm just making individual sequences at the minute with everything layed down on each and its quite confusing after a while!
