MIDI Triggering problems with MPC-5000

Hey,
I am using Cakewalk running on a PC connected to a Unitor8x8 midi interface via USB. For a reason I can't yet understand I am having issues to use the MPC5000 as a multitimbral sound module controlled from Cakewalk as a sequencer.
The MIDI settings are correct infact I can see the MIDI triggering both from Cakewalk & my midi keyboard (displayed on the the MPC screen next to MIDI in MAIN a box flashes when a MIDI signal comes in) however no sound is coming out it's like the wrong MIDI notes are being triggered. Can any one give me an insight on this problem?

Have you looked at the midi/sync settings ( mode+pad 8 )? From there you can click note and adjust which notes each pad triggers.
