How to get sounds

Aight i am completely new to this mpc shit so sorry i do realize that i am asking simple questions..

Just bought my first mpc 2000 classic and flash card drive I have no idea how to get sounds (drum kit) (chopped samples). I know you have to upload them on the flash card or sample but I just don't know how to get started. Which programs should I use to chop up a sample.

And also I don't know how to connect it to speakers. (I have computer speakers wit a nice sub and also have a 120 watt guitar amp) the computer speakers are connectable by regular mp3 cord and my guitar amp uses 1/4 cables ( I would rather use my guitar amp tho)

Please vets school a noob on how to run this shit..

chop in the mpc, you don't need software

read the mpc's manual, it should tell you how to set it up for basic connections - and since you apparently don't know how to connect a sound source to the inputs or how to connect the outputs to some speakers, you are at the BASIC connections stage

if you don't have the manual, download it now before you do anything else. NOW!

Thanks for help. I did check out the Manual and theirs no explanation on how to connect the output stereo to a guitar amp. Whereas theres a left and right output stereo theirs only 1 input for the guitar amp. And how do I chop a sound on the mpc, I don't even know how to get a sound onto the flash card!? I know the mpc only accepted Certan file formats so thats where my problem begins. How do I convert a song into those specific formats.

your guitar amp takes a mono signal, so just connect one channel to it

or get a dual 1/4 to stereo 3.5mm adapter and connect the mpc to your computer speakers

you don't need to put files on the flash card ... IT'S A SAMPLER. connect a cd player, or even your TV, to the inputs and SAMPLE some sounds to play with

as for sounds, borrow your friend's yamaha keyboard and sample all of them

You can always check out royalty free sound libraries online. They are good resources for getting loops and samples that are professionally recorded and you don't have to worry about copyright issues.

On the real...y'all noob katz need to do your homework before you hit these forums. There's plenty of basic fundamentals that set you in the right direction. But for some reason, y'all rather not go that route?

What's the reason for jumping straight into this technical jargon rather than equipping yourself with the tools necessary to guide you through this stuff without any problems?
