edit sample start

easy other 2kxl-ers, startin to really get to grips with my 2kxl but was wonderin. If i go to the trim screen and change the start time of a sample, will the start time be saved when i save the program or must i save it as a new sample with the changed start time?

you have to save the new sample.

only changes you make in program edit are saved with the program.
changes you make in the sample edit / trim screen are saved when you save the sample.

be careful when you use 'save programs and sounds' and you have it set to 'do not overwrite existing sample'... if you just do a program save at that point, it wont save your newly edited/trimmed sound because it already sees a copy, and you've got it set to NOT overwrite.

best bet is to save the sample itself when you trim it, or at least make sure to save over old sounds.

thanks, cleared up some stuff for me...just spent like an hour savin samples with a bit of (sometimes notice-able) silence at the so that i had a little more freedome, so needless to say am gutted haha thanks anyway all i needed
