Kurzweil???

Just picked up the 2500r w/ sampling yesterday for $300 . Does anyone on here have any advice, tips or shortcuts ? The sounds in this beast are dope as fck , can't wait to sample w/ it .

Yeah, make sure you grab yourself some AA rechargables instead of conventional batteries. You'll see why when them joints start going out on you after a couple of months.

You also might wanna save any important user matrixes or whatever you end up making on that (to disk of course) because it'll get lost as soon as those batteries go as well.

Good lookin' out . I was just reading up on that cause when I started it it said the battery was low . The manual is kinda vague about how to replace the batteries, I know it's that round thing on the bottom right corner on the back but do I have to remove the 2 screws on the side to get the batteries out or do I just twist the cylinder looking thing to get it out ?

Also, do you know how I can find out if I have any of the rom's ? It goes from pgm 1-199 then jumps to 700-999 .

I just got a 2600X while I was hunting in my pawnshops. I got it for $400 so that I can use it as a controller. But I do love the sounds in it also. It is a deep machine, but does sound great and the action is superb. I really didn't "need" it, but I just liked it so much.

for $400.00!!!!! thats one of the greatest deals I heard of...

I looked at it and went back a week later and it was still there, so I tested it out and liked it. But the pawn shops here in NC are full of crazy deals like that.

I got a K2500 (base model no upgrades) for $99. Flipped it on the bay for $455... Had it for a month, didn't test it out too much but the sounds were really lush. If it had the sampling option (and if it was the rack version) I might have kept it.
