Hi there, this is my first post so go easy folks.
I have an MPC1000 running JJOS ver 3.12 and it's just had a meltdown!!
Basically it's making a constant noise, kind of like white noise, but more like it's running through every sample that is currently loaded and playing a fraction of a second of each one all at once. Also the CPU seems to have shat the bed, and none of the controls are working, I just click the mode button and it scrolls through all the functions like program/mixer/step edit/effect etc without actually pressing the pads that correspond to those functions.
I did a search and the saw some people reported their machines made white noise, and this was a ram issue, but I've tried removing the ram chip, and it still does the same thing. I've also tried re-setting the machine to factory preset, re-installed the akai OS and re-installed JJOS, none of these things have worked.
Please, if anyone has any suggestions, please let me know because right now I'm all out of ideas and am getting pretty desperate.
Thanks in advance.
