I'm in the process of customizing my 5k got some pics here... more to come

Started with some yellow pads and gold tipped knobs

Decided to paint the side panels and the palm rest... Also painted the strip on the sliders yellow too. I will post a pic of the paint and stuff too

I also painted the frame of the screen and although I taped it just fine I didnt cover the inside of the screen so my efforts were futile ... the inside of the screen got paint on it (picture coming). Oh well we learn and move on. I dont really like the yellow screen frame anyways. I'm buying another from MPC stuff. more pics and updates to come.

Are you a Steeler fan?

Same thing the dude at the hobby shop where i bought the paint said. answer is no I'm not a Steelers fan or any team's fan for that matter. I thought black and yellow worked well because the LEDs are yellow. I didnt want customize all the way down to LEDs. so i thought yellow would work well.

Definitely an odd color pick.
Funny thing is too me changing the LEDs is easier than the painting.
Swapping out the LED's and screen on the 1k was easy and really made a difference in it's appearance.

Really? changing LEDs is easier to you huh? I have a homie with a 1000 and he recently changed the LEDs he said it was pretty easy. his joint is really really nice too. I should see if he'll post it. but for me, i figure one less thing to have to do. Plus the color scheme is dope to me. I still have more pics to come soon. then you all can see the final product. Figured I'd write a little article on the process on my site too... check it out http://phashara.com/?p=301#more-301

I'm going to paint my MPC one of these days..... Just haven't decided on the artwork. I'm thinking of doing a grafiti pic of the golden gate bridge or bay bridge on mine. If I do I'll post pics in the 5000 section.
