All working now, thank god my stupidity didn't ruin the machine. For those unaware, I plugged a US machine into a UK mains without a stepdown.

Here are the pics. It's been used a couple of times since the guy purchased it. It came with the memory expansion which was fitted in 1988 and cost $599! (The seller even supplied the empty memory expansion box).

:o you wouldn't even pay that much for the whole mpc these days.

Yup! I dont have a 60 but the 3000 workflow must make a huge difference. I went from a 2000XL and was quick on that MPC but being able to get around to commands without shifting all the time makes sense, it was a corner that Akai cut after Linn parted. I would say if u can make a 60/60II into a 3000 functionally best do it!! My 3000LE is beautiful with the 3.50 OS... hoping for your sake Rohan can do Valixi for the 60's someday!
