Through a VGA cable, of course. You will have to do some sheet metal work. I explained this in the first post of the thread.
MPC2000 and MPC2000XL
1. Replace your damaged LCD with the MPCLCD2K from Envision Electronics.
The LCD supplied by Envision Electronics will be fitted with a connector for sending data to the VDA (video display adapter). A small cable will connect the LCD to the VDA, supplying power and data transfer. The cable will snake through the chassis, or the flippy screen on the XL. The VDA has a standard VGA connector on it. You can choose to make it look professional and pop a D-Sub sized hole in the chassis.
You can also drill a hole, insert a strain relief or grommet and run a cable inside. If you choose to drill a hole, you'll need to be able to solder the bare wires to the adapter board. We
might be able to supply a "pigtail" cable that is split in the middle and will feed through the chassis. We'll just have to see how this plays out...
2. Keep your LCD and add the VDA "stand alone".
The standalone version of the VDA will include the same circuitry that interfaces the Envision LCD, but will connect to the existing display through a breakout board that lets us peek at the data going to your original display.
MPC1000 and MPC25001. The LCD in the 1000 and 2500 is available, so we will only offer the standalone VDA version. I will need to acquire both of these units for testing, but my understanding is that the data is a known form and is identical between the units.
We're not sure what color to use for the output. We can pick anything...and we
might be able to make it selectable, but no guarantees.
