whats the reasoning behing the pack idea? not looked yet, but is a pac file smaller than the space taken up by a program and samples?

Drum program + assigned samples in one file, means that moving your favourite drum kits from project to project just became much simpler. Should be brilliant. I'm about to test it soon.

It works. But the packed file is not a separate entity. Loaded a program, edited it, packed it. There are no samples in the sample list at this stage, so I assumed they are safe and cannot be edited or overwritten. Then I loaded the same program again to make another version of it:

Load:WITH SAMPLE
Replace: same samples in memory:NO (or YES, makes no difference here)
[DO IT]

Then:
Program name exists!
Replace or rename?
Name:
[REPLACE]

...both the PACKED program AND its edited samples are replaced by the originals.

Always rename the packed program.

Hmm, i think INSTR-Programs would benefit more from this pack idea... lot of samples that "belong together" you know...

I'm not following this... When you load a program, doesn't it already give you the option of loading the samples with it? I'm sure it does... What is the pack function for?
Very confused.

I didn't tried it neither but maybe it can make organizing files and folders easier.

Trying to read the description homepage carefully it seems to be like a "park" function.

It seems you can lock a program and its files

The packed sample is not displayed in the trim and the sample list.
