Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

so i sampled a few things from vinyl, made a little beat

then i thought i'd add a bassline from a softsynth in cubase (sx 1.1)

fiddled around with my sync settings (usually these 2 work together in perfect harmony) , and the result is that the mpc is stuck playing a 2 bar loop - cubase isn't controlling it or talking to it, when i hit stop on the mpc it shows the message in the thread header.... basically i can't do anything - can't get to the sync page on the mpc or any other page because i can't stop the sequence, can't save my beat :(

any ideas? i've tried unplugging the midi in to the mpc , but doesn't help any

hey i too had this same problem and i no one else is going to answer it. basically your mpc is stuck and you will not be able to reach your midi sync settings to change it. but i did have some luck by pressing the stop button on the mpc repeatedly which will bring up the same mesg but as you are pressing stop hit start at the same time on whatever daw or whatever you have it synced with. keep trying it .it will work eventually and then you will have to change your midi settings in your mpc so this doesnt happen again. try not to have the in and out on at the time in midi/sync different midi clock or mtc .just choose one. this is for the mpc 2000xl only.

He's posting a solution... to the person having this problem a year from now, two years from now, they will be very thankful he took the time to dig this up and posted a work around.
