BRAND new, in the box, probably fell off the truck... $730. Couldn't really pass it up. Even though, now I'm wondering if I should have... considering it's completely stock.

On second thought.... Naaahhhhhh. I've had my fair share of used and abused old sluts of machines. Now please excuse me, I have a bit of pad smashing virgin thrashing that I must attend to.

Ive had a 5k, 2500 and a 1k and i gotta say i think the 1k is the best imo. nice and compact and has all the same features as 2500(JJOS). The things i miss are the screen that tilts, the eq on the 5k is better and also the way i can hold shift in the trim menu and hit a pad and assign the sample. But its not worth the money for the 2500 or the 5000

It's horses for courses between the 1000 and 2500 though. I couldn't do without the 4 midi outs - daisy-chaining aint an option I like to go down when I'm syncing up all my gear. 8 outs are good too, especially if you have a 24 channel analogue desk like me. They're both very good for what they do with JJOS.

Your lucky mate. I bought a 4000 and a 5000 used after getting my 1k used and both were defective in some way. A damn shame to, because the 4k os is on the next level.
