One pad playing two samples

yo, i was wondering if you can layer two different samples with two different filter settings onto one pad. when i hit program and put the second sample onto the pad1 to play with the first sample i had on the pad1, the filter setting for the second sample becomes the same as the first sample i had. it seems like hte filters in the program mode are put on the pads and not the samples themselves. in my mpc2000xl, theres a mode:simult where when i play the first pad, it triggers the second pad which allows me to have to diff. filter settings.

no.. just 1 filter setting per pad... but you could always just resample each individual sound with the filter you want to use and then layer them onto the same pad...

You will have to upgrade to the JJOS to get Simult... and plenty of other goodies.
