mpc sound is buggin...pt. 2

i just wanted to post an update on an older topic i posted a few weeks ago, just in case anyone happens to run into the same problem i had.

i had removed my 8 outs which somehow caused my sound to start going nuts after a few minutes of use. everything would get full of static and distortion, rendering the mpc useless. i emailed vst and they wanted 30 for an estimate, and they said it would be 100-300 dollars to fix, and of course werent very willing to depart any information as to what MAY be causing the problem. being fairly sure i didnt **** anything up on the inside, i took a shot at replacing the ram. i bought 32mb off ebay for 15 dollars, and the problem is fixed. suck me vst!

hay, i had the same crackling problem but it came on completely randomly. I posted up and one other guy had the problem he said replace the ram. SO i copped the gold ram off ebay for $30 and my mpc sounds better than ever.(i pulled out the old ram and it had silver connectors) SO before you do any thing i would recommend buying the ram off ebay with gold connectors and watching the video on mpcsuff dot com on replacing ram before shelling out even $100.

Can someone say that does exist a diference in quality between the chrome and the golden RAM memories?

Not really, the difference is that gold is a better conductor then other metals. Which is why you have gold plated audio cable connectors etc. Same thing here.
